SIMPLE GUILD: How to shop on jumia
Buying of items like phones, clothes of any sort, motorcycles, sewing machines, laptops, pink lips cream, and others are now very easy when you follow these simple steps below.
To purchase an item from JUMIA or to place an order is pretty simple. The steps to purchase items from JUMIA is broken down into four steps/stages
They are:
1. LOGIN
2. ADDRESS
3. DELIVERY
4. PAYMENT
Though the first thing to do is to visit the website by visiting
A. www.jumia.com.ng
B. Search for any product of your choice. Jumia.com.ng is a simple website and can easily be understood by even novice, so don't panic.
C. Click on BUY NOW and the item will automatically be added to your CART that looks like a basket at the top right corner of your browser.
D. Click on that basket called CART to view all the items you've selected, then click on buy/continue and simply follow these simple steps below:
Step 1: LOGIN
This is where you login to your JUMIA account using which ever Platform you've created. Incase you have not created a JUMIA shopping account yet, click here>>https://www.jumia.com.ng/customer/account/create/
For me i personally login through Facebook. If you don't have any registered JUMIA account, click on the link above to register first before you continue.
For example: Assuming you want to buy a PINK LIPS BALM fro JUMIA or any other products, simply fill these processes:
>> Visit www.jumia.com.ng
>> Search for pink lips balm
>> Click on the item you want and when the page opens, click on the place that says BUY NOW.

>> The next page will display an information on your browser telling you the the item has been added to your CART.

>> Click on the CART IMAGE at the top right corner of your browser circled on the image above.
>> Another page will open showing the picture of the item you have selected and the Amount.

>> click on the write-up circled on the image above called CHECK OUT and then you'll be done with the first step.
Step 2: ADDRESS
You are required here to put a residential address where you live or where your items should be delivered to. Make sure your address is valid as this is very vital and phone numbers are also required as this will be used to contact you by JUMIA agents and it will also be used to verify your order before processing your request.
You will then receive a call from JUMIA representative after few hours of placing your orders successfully.
Step 3: DELIVERY
Here, is where you will select the mode you want your items/goods to be delivered to you. This stage is further sub-divided into two stages;
•Regular Shipping: This option deals with shipping of your items to a specific desired address. This item is shipped to your address within 1-4 days depending on the distance of your house address.
•Pickup stations: This option is usually advisable for those of you living in areas where JUMIA have pickup stations. This one is very fast and reliable. This is cool because i can get my ordered goods at my preferred date.
Step 4: PAYMENT
This one is the final step where you specify the mode of payment for the goods you ordered for.
Jumia.com.ng accepts two methods of payment;
•Cash on Delivery: This is very useful in Nigerian online markets today. There are a whole lot of scam online that has killed the trust of people in online buying and selling.
This is why JUMIA is leading online stores in Nigeria. JUMIA offers you the total control over your orders as you choose when to pay.
With cash on delivery, you pay on delivery only when the product arrives your doorstep or pickup stations, you can physically review the product then, pay the cash.
Be sure you are carrying the exert amount the delivery men requires, as they don't carry change with them.
Secondly you have....
• Credit cards: They accepts Nigerian naira and local Credit cards including MASTER CARDS AND VISA CARDS.
Below your browser, you will see a button written BACK & NEXT/CONFIRM button. Click on the CONFIRM button when you are done.
Another page will be opened telling you CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR ORDER WAS PLACED SUCCESSFULLY, YOUR ORDER NUMBER IS ........
